LOJİSTİK HİZMET TALEBİNİN BELİRLEYİCİLERİ: TÜRKİYE LOJİSTİK SEKTÖRÜ İÇİN BİR ZAMAN SERİSİ ANALİZİ

Hem Türkiye hem de dünyada lojistik sektörü en fazla büyüyen, teknolojiyi içselleştirerek gelişen ve yatırım çeken sektörlerden biri olmuştur. Bu durum lojistik sektörüne yönelik olarak pek çok çalışmanın yapılmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Türkiye lojistik sektöründe, pek çok başka sektöre sunulan lojistik hizmetlere yönelik talebin kaynakları araştırılmıştır. Kurulan modelin zaman serisi ile tahmin edilmesi sonucunda beklenenin ya da bilindiğinin aksine imalat sanayinin lojistik hizmetlere yönelik talep oluşturduğu istatistiksel olarak doğrulanamamıştır. Bu sonuç, Türkiye imalat sanayinin Türkiye lojistik sektörünün birincil müşterisi olmadığını göstermiştir. Buna karşın şaşırtıcı bir şekilde toptan ve perakende sektörünün, Türkiye lojistik sektöründe üretilen hizmetleri olumsuz etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca Türk lojistik sektörünün ithalattaki yük hareketliliğinden faydalandığı gözlenirken ihracatın, Türk lojistik sektöründe üretilen hizmetler üzerinde olumuz etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. İhracatın Türkiye lojistik sektöründe sunulan hizmetleri negatif etkilediğinin görülmesi Türkiye lojistik sektörünün uluslararası rekabet edilebilirliğinin sorgulanmasına yol açabilir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar Türkiye lojistik sektörünün genel yapısının anlaşılması, sektörün temel dinamiklerinin belirlenmesi ve lojistik sektörü ile diğer sektör arasındaki özel bağlantıların araştırılması için alınması gereken çok fazla yol olduğunu göstermektedir.

QUANTIFIERS OF LOGISTICS SERVICE DEMANDS: A TIME SERIES ANALYSIS FOR TURKEY LOGISTICS SECTOR

Logistics sector is one of the fastest growing, attracting investment and internalizing technology sectors both in world and Turkey. Therefore, many studies have been done on logistics sector. In the present study, the sources of demand for logistics services produced is investigated in Turkey. As a result of the estimation, contrary to what is expected or known, it could not be statistically verified that the manufacturing industry creates a demand for logistics services. The result shows that the Turkish manufacturing industry is not the primary customer of the Turkish logistics industry. On the other hand, surprisingly, it has been determined that the wholesale and retail sector negatively affects the services produced in the Turkish logistics sector. In addition, it has been observed that the Turkish logistics sector benefits from the freight mobility in import transections, while exports have a negative effect on the services produced in the Turkish logistics sector. The negative impact of exports on the services provided in the Turkish logistics sector may cause the international competitiveness of the Turkish logistics industry to be questioned.These results show that understanding the overall structure of Turkey logistics sector, determination of basic dynamic the sector and search for a particular connection between the logistics sector and other sectors should be investigated.
