Abstract

This study aims to reveal suggestions for future research directions by understanding the way in which experience quality / experiential quality is handled in the context of cultural heritage tourism in tourism researches conducted in recent years. In this study, systematic literature review method was used. Through this method, 61 high-level tourism, leisure and hospitality management journals published between 2000-2021 were examined. As a result of the review, eleven international articles in which experience / experiential quality(s) are discussed in the context of cultural heritage tourism were subjected to content analysis. However, as a result of the review in Dergi Park, TR Index and accommodation, sports and tourism journals published in Turkish or English, it was determined that there were 2 research articles related to the concept between 2003 and 2021 in the context of cultural heritage. Therefore, a total of thirteen research articles were analyzed for content in this study. According to the findings of the content analysis, all of the articles examining the experience / experiential quality(s) in the context of cultural heritage were designed as empirical studies. Researchers preferred quantitative and mixed research methods in their studies. The most commonly used sampling technique is convenience sampling.
