Formel ve İnformel Bakım Verenlerin Yaşlı Bakım Hizmetlerinde Robotik Teknolojileri Kullanım Niyeti

Öz

Nüfusun hızla yaşlanması ve bakım emeği talebindeki artış, robotik teknolojilerin yaşlı bakımına entegrasyonunu kritik bir tartışma alanı haline getirmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, bakım verenlerin yaşlı bakımında robotik teknolojileri kullanım niyetlerinin nasıl şekillendiği, informel ve formel bakım bağlamlarında karşılaştırmalı olarak ele alınmıştır. Nitel yöntem kullanılan ve çoklu vaka çalışması olarak tasarlanan çalışmada 12’si formel, 6’sı informel katılımcıyla derinlemesine görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılara çeşitli robotik teknolojiler tanıtılmış ve kullanım niyetleri ile ilgili sorular sorulmuştur. Veriler tematik analiz doğrultusunda incelenmiş ve kullanım niyetini şekillendiren öğrenebilirlik, işlevsel beklentiler, kişiselleştirme ve etkileşimsel beklentiler, bakım ilişkileri ve insani boyut ile teknoloji kaynaklı mesleki endişeler olmak üzere beş ana tema saptanmıştır. Araştırmada formel ve informel grubun öğrenmeye yönelik yaklaşımlarının, özgüven-endişe düzleminde ayrıştığı görülmüştür. Her iki grup da fiziksel yardım görevlerinde yüksek fayda beklemekte, robotların soğuk ve mekanik doğası nedeniyle duygusal ve sosyal görevlerde insani temasın yerini tümüyle alamayacağı noktasında birleşmektedir. Ancak duygusal etkileşimin azalması sonucu oluşabilecek sosyal izolasyon ve bağın kesilmesiyle tetiklenen duygusal boşluk ve mahremiyet ihlali risklerine de dikkat çekilmektedir. Katılımcıların robotun cinsiyetsizliği olarak ifade ettiği durumun kimi katılımcılar için kolaylaştırıcı kimileri içinse bariyer etkisi yaratabildiği görülmüştür. Formel bakım verenlerin fiziksel faydaya odaklanma ve kaderci yaklaşımları nedeniyle teknolojik direnç göstermedikleri, istihdam piyasasında daralma beklentisine rağmen yüksek kullanım isteği bulunduğu görülmüştür.
