Abstract


Developing technology has led to changes in people's consumption and purchasing behavior. Consumers are now turning to products that make their lives easier. When the researches based on consumers' interest in newly developed technological products are examined, it is seen that there is no study on the use of smart robot vacuum cleaners. The aim of this study, understand the profile of consumers using smart robots, to reveal consumer experiences about the product and to determine their purchasing motivation. 49 consumers were reached with the semi-structured interview form prepared for this purpose. The interviews were held in December 2019. Participants were paid attention to be smart robot vacuum cleaner users. The obtained data were analyzed by the descriptive qualitative analysis method. The validity and reliability of qualitative analysis is based on Tapupas criteria. After the analysis, it was determined that the product was frequently viewed and bought on the internet and used at least once a day. The main reasons for consumers' use of smart robot vacuum cleaners are; self-cleaning, time-saving and practical use. According to the users, it has been understood that the advantages of robot vacuum cleaners are labor-saving and remote control. The disadvantages faced by the consumers with the product have been found to be that the product chamber fills quickly, it is expensive and it gets stuck on objects too often. The research is important in terms of revealing the profile and purchasing motivation of consumers who use smart robot vacuum cleaners.
