Over the last fifteen years, the concept of the green workplace has attracted a great deal of attention both in academia and industry. This interest has led to the proliferation of business practices that prioritize environmental sustainability and paved the way for the emergence of new research areas, especially green human resource management. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis on green human resource management from journals in Scopus and Web of Science databases. The study covers the last fifteen years of publications and performs performance analysis and science mapping analysis of the articles. In this study, the “bibliometrix” package of R software was used for bibliometric analysis. In the study, a data set was created following the PRISMA flow diagram and a sample of 632 studies was analyzed. The results revealed that research in the field of green human resource management has increased significantly in the last 5 years and that China is the most productive country in this field in every aspect. This study highlights trending topics such as environmental performance, sustainability, and environmental management that emerged from the findings of the bibliometric analysis, and reveals exciting avenues for new research opportunities. Moreover, the Journal of Cleaner Production, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, International Journal of Manpower and Business Strategy and the Environment are the top publishing journals in the green human resource management literature. This study will serve as a guide for researchers to understand how the field of Green Human Resources Management has evolved over time and the issues that require more attention in the field, and will guide researchers in understanding and applying performance analysis and scientific mapping methods in any research field. The study is expected to contribute to both researchers, industry and organizations by providing a general framework for green human resource management.
