Abstract

In this research, it was aimed to analyse the Turkish immigrants’ transnational social bond living in the United States of America who have migrated to the USA from Turkey within the historical process. The transnational migration of Turks living in USA; It has been evaluated in the perspective of transnationalism which asserts that there is a third social area other than origin and target country together with the migration. The qualitative data which was gained from the Turkish migrants living in different states of USA was analysed. Thus, an analysis was conducted to the transnational societal area developed by transnational social networks and bonds to the Turks living in USA, the content of these networks was evaluated with social capital approach. In the research, it was aimed to identify the transnational activities through social networks and bonds, social relation between themselves, their organising and their problems of the Turkish migrants living in the USA.
