Abstract

The State of Qatar, which declared its independence forty-eight years ago, is being governed by monarchy. The statesperson at the head of the country is called ‘Emir’.Qatar differs from the other countries in the Middle East region with an area of around 11,000 km² and a population of 2.5 million and alsoits economic power.Many modern developments, such as the recent reforms in the country, the constitutional amendments, and the hosting of major international sports tournaments particularly like the 2022 FIFA World Cup, have caused the world to turn its eyes to Qatar.There is not much information about Qatar in Turkish literature.Therefore, this study aims to examine the administrative structure of Qatar. In this context, it is given tothe general information about Qatar, the legislative, executive and judicial organs under the title of ‘The Managerial Structure’, the role of Emir, and the local government system.As a result of the study, it has been concluded that there has been a serious transformation in Qatar’s managerial system within a short period of time.
