Abstract


In this study, it was aimed to examine the role of five major personality traits on burnout perception and presenteeism behaviours, and to determine the moderating effect of tenure and educational status on this relationship. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with the employees of the hotel businesses in Antalya/Belek region. For analysing the data collected from 202 people by easy sampling method, which designed according to the causal scan pattern was used with structural equation modeling. According to the findings of the study, it was seen that neurotic and agreeableness personality traits had a significant effect on burnout, extraversion and neurotic personality traits on presenteeism. In addition, it was concluded that tenure and educational status have a moderating role in the relationship between personality traits and presenteeism and burnout. The study is expected to offer solutions to the executives and employees as well as expanding the relevant literatüre.
