Abstract

Health purposes tourism mobility, includes individuals traveling from one country to another in order to improve their health and appearance with medical treatment. Parallel to the developments in communication technologies, the internet, which has become an important source in people's access to information, has also become an element that accelerates this process. Users can access all kinds of health information quickly, in different forms, in an easy and interactive way with internet technology. Therefore, new communication technologies have changed the way users access information and the way health institutions work. The aim of the study is to reveal how new communication technologies are used by health institutions in medical tourism activities. In the study, in which public and private hospitals operating in Antalya, one of the most important tourism cities of Turkey and holding the ""International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate"", are determined as samples, it is aimed to perform an analysis through the websites of the hospitals. In the study, in which the quantitative research method is adopted, the data are analyzed using the content analysis technique. In the study, the analysis is carried out in five categories: technical features, hospital and its services, health services provided to the patient, online services and out-of-hospital activities. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analysis, it has been concluded that the websites of public hospitals operating in Antalya are well designed within while private hospitals are more accessible in terms of online services.
