New media technologies have created major changes in people's tendency to be informed. The developments in the digital area have also shortened the time of reaching the news. In particular, the spread of mobile devices has allowed people to carry a media device with them, and this has created a great impact, especially in circulation. Considering the fact that the press institutions provide basic revenues from advertising and the advertising revenues are directly proportional to the number of readers-viewers and listeners and users, the changes in the tendencies of news are directly reflected in the financial status of the media. Print media, radio and television, called traditional media, are in competition with new media technologies in every sense. The lucky side of this competition is the new media which is more advantageous than the technology. New media tools have different applications in itself and the addition of new applications to these applications every day is not even work. Internet news sites carry out similar functions with print media in traditional media tools. The production process of the print media and the services on the internet news sites differ considerably. The financial structures of internet news sites are of great importance in the days when the number of the press organizations that decided to continue to do internet journalism by saying goodbye to the written press. Within the scope of this study, the financial structures of the print media were examined by taking the production process into consideration and the data related to the financial structures of internet journalism were also presented comparatively.
