Social media tools, which are frequently used in daily life, have become socially established environments beyond traditionally established connections. Although they do not know where the network is located in these environments, the participants form a social network, sometimes as a strong and sometimes isolated participant. In social media, very different groups express their views in public debates that occur almost every day. In particular, the Twitter microblogging site is a platform where opposing groups come across a new topic almost every day and engage in dialogue. Given this new situation with increasing technical capabilities and skills, it has created a huge sea of data for social scientists. The amount of data produced is increasing exponentially day by day, and in the past, we are witnessing the flow of data that cannot be calculated by individual means. In this study, the opportunities provided by Twitter in the context of Digital Sociology are discussed within the framework of the possibilities and limitations of digital methods and Big Data.
