Abstract

This study examines whether Other Orientation (OO) attitude has a direct effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). It is aimed to answer whether OO, which is generally considered as a moderating variable, has an active role on another variable as an independent variable. On the other hand, in addition to measuring the determinant role of OO, it is also aimed to test the validity and reliability of the scale related to the concept, which has not been discussed much in the studies conducted in Turkey, and to present it to the literature. In the study, data were collected through a questionnaire and analysed by statistical methods. In the research conducted in the banking sector, as a result of the analysis of the data obtained from 397 bank employees, it was seen that the effect of OCB on OCB was statistically significant and positive but at a moderate level. The validity and reliability of the OO scale has been proven and it is thought to be a usable scale in the field.
