Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of sectoral energy consumption on economic growth between 2010 and 2016. Covering totally 132 countries, transport, services, industry and agriculture sectors were included in the analysis. Panel data method was used in the analysis, where real gross domestic product per capita was used as the growth data. As a result of the econometric analysis, a positive relationship was found between energy use and economic growth in transportation, industry, agriculture and services sectors.
