Abstract

Orientation training is known as the training given to new employees. The orientation training applied in both private and public sectors is aimed for the employees to adapt to the business and work more easily. Studies in the literature approach the aims, processes, and positive results of orientation training with a focus on the private sector. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the implementation and development of orientation training by focusing on the municipalities. In line with the aim of the study, the processes and practices related to orientation training of four different municipalities in Bursa province were evaluated. Information was collected from authorized persons in the municipalities through the semi-structured interview method. As a result of the research, the processes and practices of the orientation training in the municipalities were investigated by comparison.
